Gold is stronger than a fortified city even. It may soft appear. However, in it is the strength of iron. People discover how weak paper is. Yeah, when you put it in water it turn to mush and has all the strength of wet snow. That said, gold will not rust like iron. It will not turn green and corrode like copper. This is why the future price of gold is up.
